February 19th marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year and is the year of the eighth Chinese zodiac sign: The Goat. At Infoblox, we are observing another milestone – we believe 2015 will be the Year of the Cloud for many enterprise IT departments. Based on numerous recent research reports (Forrester, IDC, and Piper Jaffray), we believe cloud computing adoption will hit an all-time high in 2015, and within that, the biggest investment will be in deployment of private clouds.
Decreasing cost of on-premises infrastructure and security and data privacy issues are causing more organizations to build Amazon AWS-like infrastructure at their own sites, according to these reports. What’s more, next-generation data centers being built today are increasingly architected around private cloud designs, so it only follows that 2015 will indeed be the year of the cloud.
As part of the celebration, we want to offer up a little gift of knowledge to those who embarking on the private cloud journey, specifically focused on the network elements of private cloud deployments: An Infoblox white paper on “Simplifying Private Cloud Deployments through Network Automation.”
