The IT landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, presenting new challenges for enterprise IT departments. The migration of workloads to the cloud–while maintaining on-premises infrastructures–has created a fragmented management environment that can be difficult to navigate.
And organizations using multiple public clouds are faced with limited device data and context across these hybrid multi-cloud environments. This lack of visibility can lead to security risks and operational blind spots, making it harder to identify and address potential issues before they impact your business.
To add to these challenges, the pressure to deliver digital products and services faster than ever is mounting. According to Forbes and IDC1, 43% of technology leaders plan to accelerate their delivery pace, which means IT departments need to be able to deploy applications quickly and efficiently.
And of course, throughout all of this, the importance of reliability, performance, and security cannot be overstated. Your customers, both internal and external, rely on your IT services to be available, fast, and secure at all times.
Since joining Infoblox as the Chief Products Officer last August, I’ve been impressed with how our team not only understands the difficulties of managing and securing a hybrid-multi-cloud environment, but our commitments to providing innovative solutions to better serve our customers. Over the past 12 months, Infoblox has rolled out more than 165 new features and enhancements across our Infoblox NIOS, BloxOne DDI, and BloxOne Threat Defense solutions focused on helping our customers across six critical areas:
Enhanced Management for Hybrid, Multi-Cloud Environments: Simplify multi-cloud DNS management with NIOS Sync for Microsoft Azure DNS and Amazon Route 53. Streamline operations with BloxOne DDI’s multi-account aggregation and DNS Zone Federation for AWS and Azure. And manage more network resources in GCP with ease, thanks to BloxOne DDI’s IPv6 support.
Improved Visibility: Gain a clearer picture of your network assets with Infoblox NIOS vDiscovery for Multi-Accounts (AWS and GCP) and Shared Virtual Private Clouds (GCP). Resolve issues faster with the in-depth visibility provided by Infoblox NIOS Network Insight for AWS and Azure. And make informed decisions with BloxOne DDI dashboards for DHCP, DNS, Messages, Leases, and Total Queries.
Accelerated Application Deployment: Speed up app deployment and save costs by integrating Infoblox NIOS with popular automation and orchestration tools like Ansible, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Improve management of BloxOne DDI resources with the ability to query host status, retrieve host-specific service logs, and an enhanced Terraform provider.
Improved Resiliency and Security: Deploy with confidence using the NIOS high availability architecture for major clouds, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Increase system reliability and security with NIOS features like Grid Manager Candidate Reconnection, DNS failover, and DNS over TLS.
Transformed, Proactive Security: Stay ahead of emerging threats by proactively blocking suspicious domains associated with threat actor infrastructures. Identify security gaps and follow best practices using our AI-driven SOC Insights platform. Secure remote workers and mobile endpoints with expanded coverage, MDM-less deployment for iOS and Android, and more – all while minimizing end-user impact.
Assured Investment Protection: An updated operating system ensures NIOS investments are future-proof, enabling a steady flow of future innovations.
Customers have been using these innovations to drive better outcomes in their business. For example, the IT team at a prominent U.S. financial services company faced a significant challenge when tasked with creating application landing zones for cloud migration. Each landing zone required deployment in two regions and three availability zones (AZs) within the public cloud for enhanced resiliency. Additionally, the landing zones needed to accommodate three application tiers and three environments: development, QA, and production. The process was time-consuming, taking the IT team between six and eight weeks to create each application landing zone.
By leveraging Infoblox networking solutions and 3rd party integrations, the IT team reduced the time required to create an app landing zone from eight weeks to a mere 24 hours, with a goal of further reducing it to 30 minutes in the future. This significant improvement in efficiency allows the organization to accelerate its cloud migration initiatives, enabling faster time-to-market for new applications and services.
At Infoblox, we’re dedicated to helping organizations navigate the complexities of modern IT environments with confidence, and continue to focus on innovations to help support the ever-changing needs of our customers. Our enhanced network and security solutions portfolio empowers customers to manage critical network services in hybrid multi-cloud settings, address asset visibility gaps, and accelerate application deployment while ensuring the reliability, performance, and security your organization demands.
