Cloud adoption is further substantiated in a recent Accenture Insights article, 25 Cloud Trends for 2021 and Beyond (March 4, 2021). Roy Ikink, Managing Director of Accenture Strategy and Consulting, Utilities Transmission and Distribution, notes that “data is currency…” as he underscores the importance of leveraging an organization’s data to its cloud capabilities. Citing a 2020 IDG Cloud Computing Survey (June 8, 2020), Ikink observes that 92% of organizations operate at least partially in the cloud.
