There’s a certain satisfaction that comes when a venerable company in the high-tech industry commits to Infoblox. That’s why we’re so proud to add Adobe – the developer of such iconic tools as Acrobat, Photoshop and PostScript – to our customer list.
Adobe’s team is happy, too, as this case study explains. When Brent Hetherwick joined Adobe as technical lead for DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) five years ago, the company was running a legacy system that just wasn’t up to the task, couldn’t scale to meet their needs and wasn’t reliable.
According to Brent, the legacy product was incredibly inconsistent. “I was called in the middle of the night almost every week,” he says.
Today, after deploying Infoblox DDI, Adobe is deriving multiple benefits:
- The entire Adobe global DDI footprint is supported by 1.5 full-time employees, with high reliability
- Its service desk now has the ability to assign static IP addresses, so various teams can update their host records, among other activities
- Extensive use of reporting, discovery, and security capabilities
As Simran Sandhu, Adobe’s manager of global infrastructure says, “We definitely have seen productivity gains from [our Infoblox deployment]. We have a very high degree of confidence in our Infoblox DNS services.”
In addition to core Infoblox DDI, Adobe also deployed Network Insight, DNS Firewall, External DNS Security, and our reporting tools. The company also plans to evaluate the new Infoblox DDI for AWS integration.
