Exciting news today at Infoblox: our ActiveTrust suite was selected as a finalist for CRN’s 2017 Innovator Awards. CRN describes finalists as standout hardware, software or services that have helped to move the IT industry forward – judged on criteria including technological advancements, the uniqueness of features and potential to help solution providers solve end users’ IT challenges. Given this, we’re particularly thrilled as the IT industry is certainly a crowded and competitive one.
This tremendous achievement is also a reminder of the important role the channel plays in providing organizations with strong cybersecurity solutions – particularly at Infoblox where we are strongly committed to the channel and our partners.

Unfortunately many organizations still continue to see DNS security as an afterthought and it’s often not a central piece to the cybersecurity puzzle. Ransomware attacks like WannaCry and Jaff that were launched earlier this year highlight the need for DNS layer security, as most malware including ransomware uses DNS in their execution cycle to communicate with C&C sites. Moreover, DNS, DHCP and IPAM data also hold a wealth of information on the network and malicious activity which can be leveraged by other security ecosystem tools for prioritization and faster response to threats.
